Ed Fisher serves as the principal for the insurance consulting firm of Risk Audit, LLC. Ed began his insurance career in 1980 with the Arkwright-Boston Manufacturers Mutual Insurance Co., now part of FM Global. During this time, he worked on the risk management programs of some of the world's largest companies including General Motors, TRW, British Petroleum, Humana, Marathon Oil, Owens-Illinois and Batelle Memorial Institute. It was also during this time that Ed's focus on Higher Education and Health Care began, eventually leading to business relationships with The Ohio State University and fourteen other state universities and eighteen private universities, Columbus Children's Hospital, Ohio Health, Mt. Carmel Health System, and Catholic Health Initiatives Inc.
In 1990, Ed joined Johnson & Higgins, at the time the largest privately held insurance broker in the United States. Ed was involved with such Fortune 500 accounts as Gen Corp, American Electric Power, and Honda of America. Beginning in 1994, Ed was asked to manage the Columbus office of Johnson & Higgins, and then the Marsh & McLennan office in 1997, once J & H was acquired by Marsh. It was during this time that Ed worked on over forty insurance programs of the Japanese supplier companies to Honda.
Ed holds a B.A. with Honors from The University of Virginia. He has been quoted many times on insurance issues by the Columbus Dispatch and Columbus CEO magazine. He has been invited to speak to numerous organizations, including the Risk Insurance Management Society and The Ohio State University Fisher College of Business.

Speaking engagements at the Central Ohio Risk and Insurance Management Society on Internet Security and Cyber Risk. Successfully led Willis of Ohio through an Ohio Department of insurance audit of Contingent Commission practices with no problems or fines. |
